Alexander Udovenko

Alexander Udovenko is a Ukrainian composer, song-writer, multi-instrumentalist, and actor.

Alexander was born on December 6, 1971 in Irkutsk, Russian Federation, USSR. At the age of 5 moved to Ukraine with his family. In 1995 he graduated from Luhansk Pedagogical institute, where he studied World History and English, and in 1996 he graduated from Eastern Ukrainian University, where he studied management. In 2010 he graduated from National Music Academy and got a degree of Master of Composition.

As a musician, works in vast varieties of genres such as classical, jazz, blues, rock, folk, country etc. His original music for films has become a success on the territory of CIS, mostly for the famous sitcom «In laws» in which he featured not only as a composer of original soundtrack but also as an actor. Music for «In laws» includes various instrumental themes as well as songs in different styles, performed by Alexander himself. In the first part of «In laws 6» he starred as a soloist of symphonic orchestra.

In 2014 Alexander was nominated for the National Award «Teletriumph» in category «Best soundtrack» with a music theme for «In laws 6». «In laws » sparked a craze among viewers and was nominated twice for the «Best International Audience Prize» in Monte-Carlo. In 2019 documentary «Papachenko»,  where Alexander featured as a composer, was awarded at the FICTS Milan Film Festival.
